  • COMMENT
    I have been eagerly awaiting the release of -Walpurgisnacht Rising-.
    When I received the offer to compose the theme song, I was overjoyed with the prospect that I would finally get to make music for this property.
    There is no greater honor than being entrusted to weave together the entire score for this beautiful, nostalgic, poignant, and enchanting film.
    I poured my heart into crafting the soundtrack—wrestling with the script, the storyboards, and the breathtaking visuals that had already begun to spring to life—as well as the song “Kanata”. I didn't want the music to simply provide a definitive answer or conclusion; rather, as a huge fan of a work I’ve lived with for so long, I carefully wove every single note with the desire to give them a brilliant send-off as they embark on their future.
    I hope to add a touch of color to the experience as you immerse yourselves in—
    and perhaps lose your way within -Walpurgisnacht Rising-.

    <FictionJunction>
    FictionJunction is the solo project of the multi-faceted music composer Yuki Kajiura.
    This project—combining the words “Fiction” (creation) and “Junction” (intersection/connection)—launched in 2004 with the song “Akatsuki no Kuruma” (featuring vocals by Yuuka). It is a project in which Yuki Kajiura handles the composition and arrangement of all tracks (“Fiction”) and creates new performances by bringing those compositions together with various vocalists and soloists for each song (“Junction”).
